PROMAX in the 2012 London Olympics

The EBU (European Broadcasting Union) has relied on PROMAX to distribute its signals from the London Olympics Games. The equipment selected has been the PROMAX Digital To TV (DTTV) head-end, which is very flexible thanks to the several transmodulation modules available.

PROMAX provides technology to the Africa Cup of Nations

The biggest sporting event on the African continent has trusted PROMAX to distribute the signal of the Africa Cup’s football matches that have taken place in Equatorial Guinea, in the cities of Malabo and Bata.

DVB-C2 available for TV EXPLORER HD+

PROMAX up by 20% at the IBC

Our stand in Amsterdam was quite busy in this edition of the show with about 20% more visitors than last year. Most requested demonstration was the TV EXPLORER HD+, a reference in today’s challenging broadcast industry, mainly because of its powerful DVB-T2 measurement capabilities and its affordable price level, something of concern with present budget limitations everywhere.

BBC test transmissions in 1080p format

The BBC has begun this spring broadcasting HD content in 1080p format. Using the new DVB-T2 modulation schemes some BBC HD transmissions have now combined 1080i and 1080p video. TV EXPLORER HD+ is not only equipped with the latest generation of DVB-T2 demodulators but also compatible with these new 1080p transmissions.

EN-106 Home digital DVB-T modulator

The EN-106 home modulator sends video and stereo audio signal from TV satellite receivers, closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV) or video players to a TV which uses DVB-T (Digital Terrestrial Television) standard. The selection of an output channel for the modulated signal is done easily via keyboard and display. It also provides connection to the PC via USB.

2 years of experience in DVB-T2 go a long way

Much has happened since two years ago when we started the development of our measurement system for DVB-T2 to go on the TV EXPLORER HD+ range. The operators have relied heavily on our products to deploy their broadcast networks and as a result of our partnership new features come to life that everyone will be able to enjoy now. Two years go far indeed.

COFDM over the Fiber

In applications where it is necessary to transport the RF signal over long distances, from one point to another, coaxial cable is not a suitable solution. Thanks to the DT-610 module it is now possible to easily transmit the DVB-T (COFDM) channels generated by the Digital To TV headend over a FO cable covering distances of up to 10km.

Dynamic echoes analysis

There are many situations in which the presence of echoes can degrade or severely affect reception of DTT. The installer exposed to them can only play with the location and orientation of the antennas in order to minimize the negative impact that these echoes can have on signal reception. The dynamic analysis of echoes, made in the way the PROMAX field strength meters do, happens to be nowadays an essential function.

With the last software version, SATHUNTER+ and SATHUNTER are now easier to use

You can download right now the new software version for free for the SATHUNTER and SATHUNTER+ , This software gives numerous improvements to the Satellite Hunter. Thanks to the new navigation system now it is faster to scroll between the detection points (TP) that can pre-configured by the user (up to 50) and it is also easier to recognize satellites and to guide the satellite dish.
