The PROMAX -37 CATV and Data analyser performs comprehensive analysis in installations of this kind, and it is useful for new installations and also for configuration and maintenance in data and video services at high-speed. It is compatible with DOCSIS 3.0 and EuroDOCSIS standards, which are the protocols used to provide data over CATV and HFC networks (hybrid optical fibre and coaxial networks). Its compatibility with both standards allows working worldwide. It also incorporates the most advanced features according to the latest updates on the DOCSIS 3.0 protocol, including channel bonding technology, which allows it to be adapted to the latest technologies implemented by cable operators in data cable networks.
The wide range of utilities of this analyser makes it a versatile instrument, an "all in one" that puts together functionalities of several instruments in a single one. We list a few: the Generator function that sends a test signal to properly equalize the transmission band; the External Modem function that connects to an external cable modem and takes a sample of the Downstream and Upstream signal; the Logger function that stores up to 100 measurement acquisitions, each of which may reach up to 140 channels to be stored and later on downloaded to a computer; the carrier analyser function that shows on screen the analogue or digital carrier signal; the power level measurement and so on. It also has two status LEDs, very useful to the user to check at a glance the signal status.
Its USB connector provides full connectivity to any PC thanks to its own software application, available for free download on the PROMAX web. With this software the user can download the measurement data to make reports, as well as to configure and edit channels plans and update the equipment.

The instrument has a backlit display for low light situations and it is powered by a built-in battery that is rechargeable via the power connector. Its alphanumeric keypad with soft -keys is easy to use and gives direct access to the different modes of operation and once in them, using the navigation and ambidextrous selection keys it is very simple to modify any parameter. This analyser has menus in several languages, including English.
