Sometimes it is difficult to find out the source of a signal interference because it only appears at certain times of the day when may be impossible to take measurements. In these cases it is useful to schedule the field strength meter to auto-power on, take measurements or screenshots and store them in its internal memory.
The Task Planner is available in the latest firmware version for all the HD RANGER field strength meters range
The Task Planner function allows the user to set-up a task list, selecting when to start, a repetition rate and other parameters. The equipment can be switched off after setting all parameters and it will wake-up, at the required time, to perform the scheduled tasks.
The Task Planner is available in the latest firmware version for all the HD RANGER field strength meters range, since all of them have a built-in real-time clock that can be programmed for, among other possibilities:
- Switch on the meter at a given date & time.
- Repeat the task a number of times
- Repeat the task for a time cycle
- Switch off the meter when finished
The Task Planner tool is available to perform screenshots and dataloggers.

The user can select the screen and type of capture. The screen options include any view in the three modes: Measurement, Spectrum or TV. The options for type of capture are: screen only, data only or screen+data .

Datalogger
The “Datalogger” option performs the datalogger task. The user must first select the datalogger from those available for the current installation.
